Twilight Tasting Schedule

2006 – Rooster Hill Vineyards is excited to announce this season’s line up of
Twilight Tasting and Wine Workshops.
Join Rooster Hill Vineyards winemaker Barry Tortolon on Friday April 21st
for Captivating Cabernets, May 12th -- Gewurztraminer and
Traminette, May 24th-- Riveting Riesling, June 28 – Perfect Pinot
Noir, July 19 or 20th ---
Riveting Riesling, August 9—Chasing Chardonnay and August 30 -- Magical Merlot
and Meritage.
Twilight Tastings
are held from 7 – 9 pm in the Rooster Hill tasting
room or on the creek stone terrace (weather permitting) where guests sip wines
and watch the sun dip into the western sky over beautiful Keuka Lake. During the evening you will sample 10 wines
from the Finger Lakes and around the world including France, Australia, California, and more. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate
how wines from the Finger Lakes compare to those from other wine regions. Learn how
soil types and climate can impact wine styles and flavors. A light
buffet specially selected to be paired with Rooster Hill’s cabernets rounds out
the evening. This intimate gathering is
a great way to meet new friends, increase your wine knowledge and enjoy
breathtaking views of Keuka Lake.
Tortolon Finger
Lakes born and California trained, has over 27 years
experience in winemaking and has already won a number of prestigious medals in
international competitions. Educated at Fresno State in California, he is able to share is
knowledge on the importance of science in winemaking and the unique role that
site, soil and climate play in influencing the wine.
Reservations are
required and the cost for this event is $20 per person plus tax. Anyone interested in attending should call
