Our Vineyards

Savina Estate Approximately 3 acres are planted in this specialized vineyard with grapes of Cabernet Franc, Riesling and Lemberger, with a focus on Pinot Noir. Approximately 4000 feet of drainage tile was installed to ensure the wines have the best possible conditions to establish their root structure. The location of the land has such excellent exposures that we will be able to produce wines that are well structured and suitable for long aging. Catherine Estate The Catherine Estate Vineyard was planted in Spring 2003. This 4-acre site has over 5000 feet of drainage tile. This vineyard will include Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Lemberger and Gewürztraminer. The Catherine vineyard will yield its first fruit for harvest in 2005.   In 2007 an acre of Vidal Blanc was planted in anticipation of experimenting with late harvest or ice wines in the near future. When planting most of the varietals, Rooster Hill's team relied on documented studies, professional advice, and their own experience to select the proper vine clones for the diverse soils and sun exposures on the estate.
